Mystic Britain

About Me

Sean Davison

Historian, filmmaker, storyteller, Mason and musician — the host of Mystic Britain.

History, mystery and film.

I studied History and Film at Reading. For the past 20 years I have had a successful career in factual TV in the UK, making films for the History Channel, BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery Channel and Nat Geo.

History films have always been my passion. I spent 10 years working on the UK’s Time Team series and have made countless films on ancient history, Stonehenge, the Tudors, out-of-place artefacts, crop circles and witchcraft.

I am also a Mason and was involved in the set-up of an innovative mystical Masonic Lodge in London. I have spoken on a variety of subjects connected with history, symbolism and the mystical traditions of Britain.

Alongside all of this, I front a rock band and play guitar. Mystic Britain brings together the strands that have shaped my life: history, landscape, folklore, symbolism, storytelling and music.
